Inner Tubes for Floating

It is fortuitous that Deborah and I did not go bike riding today, because thunderstorms are rolling through.

However, before they came rolling through, we did some inner tube floating on Shell Lake. I could see rain falling on the far side of the lake and the skies over there were darkening.

We paddled our inner tubes out to the Point and scanned the horizon over by town, where we had a line of sight not obstructed by north woods forest.

When we heard thunder in the distance, we paddled back to shore to get dry before the rains came. As we were paddling in, we saw two bald eagles in a tree near shore. One was a juvenile that didn't yet have its white head.

Deborah wanted to name the eagles Sam and Davie, the latter name referring to the juvenile bird.
